The new Ostpreußenhütte
After the general renovation, the Ostpreußenhütte is equipped with:
- 6 twin rooms
- 2 single rooms
- 2 double rooms
- 20 bed storage
- A new room
- The old parlor, which is under monument protection
- A large sun terrace
- Two washrooms and showers
- Power supply with a modern combined heat and power plant (CHP) based on vegetable oil

Infos
Save water and energy
Since we are a refuge at 1630m above sea level and we have no sewer, electricity, etc., we have to save energy and water.
Please try to save water as much as possible, as we have to pump it up from the valley and this of course involves considerable costs and energy.
Bring your hut sleeping bag
It is absolutely necessary to bring a sleeping bag.
In winter a “normal” sleeping bag is a good choice as the bedrooms are not heated.
Please bring towels along with your sleeping bag.
Take your garbage with you
Keep the hut and the mountain area clean. Please also take any rubbish you bring up back down with you to the valley.
A hot shower is possible
It is of course possible to take a short hot shower, 3 minutes costs about €5.00

- There is quiet in the hut from 21:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- The bedrooms may not be entered with mountain or ski boots.
- Cooking or eating is not permitted in the bedrooms.
- Smoking is prohibited throughout the hut.
